Cartap hydrochloride

Insecticide

Cartap hydrochloride, an organonitrogen insecticide, exerts its activity by inducing Ca2+-dependent muscle contracture in isolated mouse and rabbit phrenic nerve-diaphragms. This compound is also known to significantly elevate levels of endogenous reactive oxygen species (ROS) in C2C12 cells, making it valuable for studies related to oxidative stress and muscle physiology. Researchers may utilize Cartap hydrochloride in investigations of insecticidal mechanisms and cellular responses to oxidative agents.
