Cartap

Insecticide

Cartap is an organonitrogen insecticide that primarily targets calcium-dependent pathways. It induces a significant irreversible contraction in isolated phrenic nerve-diaphragm preparations from both mice and rabbits. Additionally, Cartap has been shown to elevate the levels of endogenous reactive oxygen species (ROS) in C2C12 muscle cells, making it relevant for studies on oxidative stress and insect neurophysiology.
