NK-1 Receptor Antagonist
CP-99994 is a potent neurokinin 1 (NK-1) receptor antagonist with a Ki value of 0.25 nM. It effectively reduces colorectal hypersensitivity in experimental models, particularly in the context of visceral hypersensitivity caused by acetic acid injections. CP-99994 also disrupts neuroglial interactions and inhibits MAPK-p38 phosphorylation, making it a valuable tool for studying mechanisms of visceral pain and related disorders.
