Dimethyl L-glutamate
Glutamate Analog
Dimethyl L-glutamate is a membrane-permeable analog of glutamate that primarily targets KATP channels. This compound stimulates insulin release in response to glucose and exhibits inhibitory effects on the growth of E. gracilis, leading to abnormal cell division. Dimethyl L-glutamate is useful in research related to diabetes, glucose transport, and metabolic phosphorylation processes.
