EBOV Inhibitor
EBOV-IN-1 is an adamantane dipeptide piperazine that functions as an inhibitor of the Ebola virus (EBOV). It selectively targets Niemann-Pick C1 (NPC1), thereby preventing the interaction between NPC1 and the EBOV glycoprotein (GP) that facilitates viral entry into host cells. This compound demonstrates significant antiviral activity, inhibiting pseudotyped EBOV infection with an IC50 value of 13 nM, making it a valuable tool for research related to EBOV infection mechanisms and potential therapeutic interventions.
