ent-Thiamphenicol

Thiamphenicol Enantiomer

ent-Thiamphenicol, a stereoisomer of Thiamphenicol, functions as a broad-spectrum antimicrobial agent. It inhibits bacterial protein synthesis by binding to the 50S ribosomal subunit, resulting in a bacteriostatic effect against a variety of Gram-negative and Gram-positive aerobic and anaerobic bacteria.
