Eprociclovir potassium

Antiviral Drug

Eprociclovir potassium is an antiviral nucleoside analogue that targets viral DNA polymerase. Its triphosphate form is activated within virus-infected cells by viral and host cell enzymes, including thymidine kinase, leading to the inhibition of viral DNA synthesis. Primarily effective against herpesviruses such as cytomegalovirus (CMV) and herpes simplex virus (HSV), Eprociclovir potassium is valuable in research applications focused on viral pathogenesis and therapy involving sensitive viral strains.
