Antimicrobial Agent

FabH-IN-2 is a novel antimicrobial agent that targets the β-ketoacyl-acyl carrier protein synthase (FabH) enzyme, critical for fatty acid biosynthesis in bacteria. It demonstrates significant antibacterial activity with a minimum inhibitory concentration (MIC) ranging from 1.25 to 3.13 μg/mL against various bacterial strains. Furthermore, FabH-IN-2 exhibits an IC50 of 2.0 μM against FabH derived from Escherichia coli, making it a valuable tool for research in microbiology and the development of new antibacterial therapies.
