Komaroidine

Bactericidal Agent

Komaroidine is a potent bactericidal agent known for its ability to induce reactive oxygen species (ROS) in bacterial cells. This compound disrupts antioxidant enzyme function, redox homeostasis, and increases membrane permeability, leading to bacterial apoptosis. Komaroidine demonstrates broad-spectrum antibacterial activity against a range of phytopathogenic bacteria, including Xanthomonas oryzae pv. oryzae, Xanthomonas axonopodis pv. citri, and Pseudomonas syringae pv. actinidiae. It is particularly useful for researching rice bacterial leaf blight.
