Lydicamycin

Anti-infection Agent

Lydicamycin is an antibiotic that targets Gram-positive bacteria and certain yeast species, derived from the fermentation of the actinomycete strain Streptomyces lydicus. Its primary mechanism involves inhibiting bacterial protein synthesis, making it an effective anti-infection agent. Lydicamycin is particularly useful in research focused on developing treatments for infections caused by antibiotic-resistant Gram-positive pathogens.
