MmpL3 Inhibitor

MSU-44147 is a selective MmpL3 inhibitor with potent antimicrobial activity against Mycobacterium abscessus. This compound effectively reduces trehalose dimycolate levels by disrupting MmpL3 function, impairing biofilm formation, and decreasing the viability of the bacteria, including intracellular strains. With low cytotoxicity to eukaryotic cells and a narrow antimicrobial spectrum, MSU-44147 is ideal for research on multidrug-resistant mycobacterial infections and can exhibit additive or synergistic effects when combined with other antibiotics.
