Mtb Inhibitor
Mtb-IN-4 is an isoxazole compound that targets Mycobacterium tuberculosis (Mtb) with an IC50 of 0.70 μM. It effectively inhibits Mtb respiration and biofilm formation within macrophages, making it a valuable tool for studying tuberculosis. Additionally, Mtb-IN-4 enhances the activity of the antibiotic isoniazid against isoniazid-resistant Mtb mutants, providing insights into new therapeutic strategies for combating drug-resistant tuberculosis.
