Norvancomycin monohydrochloride
Anti-Infection Agent
Norvancomycin monohydrochloride is an anti-infection agent that acts as a cell wall synthesis inhibitor. It targets peptidoglycan precursors in Gram-positive bacteria, irreversibly inhibiting bacterial cell wall synthesis and demonstrating significant antibacterial activity. This reagent is primarily utilized in the study of Gram-positive bacterial infections, particularly those caused by methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA) and methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus epidermidis (MRSE). Additionally, Norvancomycin monohydrochloride can be integrated into bionic calcium phosphate coatings on titanium implants to enhance antibacterial properties and mitigate postoperative orthopedic infections.
