Oomycete-IN-1 is a selective inhibitor that targets the PH domain of PcORP1 in Phytophthora species. Demonstrating EC50 values between 1 and 4 μg/mL against various oomycetes, Oomycete-IN-1 disrupts lipid transport and metabolism, resulting in mycelium hyperplasia and cell membrane ruffling in P. capsici. This compound is valuable for research focused on the prevention and control of oomycete diseases, including infections caused by P. capsici.
