FtsZ Inhibitor
PC190723 is a selective inhibitor of the bacterial cell division protein FtsZ, demonstrating an IC50 of 55 nM. This compound effectively prevents cell division and exhibits strong bactericidal activity against staphylococci, including methicillin-resistant and multi-drug-resistant strains of Staphylococcus aureus.
