MMP Inhibitor
PF-00356231 is a selective inhibitor of matrix metalloproteinase MMP-12, exhibiting an IC50 value of 1.4 μM. This non-peptidic compound forms a stable complex with MMP-12 and further demonstrates activity against MMP-13, MMP-8, MMP-9, and MMP-3 with IC50 values of 0.00065, 1.7, 0.98, and 0.39 μM, respectively. PF-00356231 is valuable for research into inflammation, tissue remodeling, and various diseases involving aberrant matrix metalloproteinase activity.
