PqsR Inhibitor

PqsR-IN-3 is a selective inhibitor of the PqsR receptor, exhibiting an IC50 of 3.7 μM. This compound effectively disrupts the Pseudomonas aeruginosa pqs signaling system and inhibits the production of the virulence factor pyocyanin with an IC50 of 2.7 μM. Additionally, PqsR-IN-3 has demonstrated capabilities to reduce biofilm formation and offers significant cytotoxicity against Pseudomonas aeruginosa. It may also enhance the efficacy of various antibiotics, making it valuable for research in bacterial virulence and antibiotic resistance.
