Quorum Sensing Inhibitor

Quorum sensing-IN-9 is a potent quorum sensing inhibitor that targets PqsR proteins in Pseudomonas aeruginosa. It effectively downregulates the expression of key quorum sensing-related genes, including lasB, rhlA, and pqsA, leading to the suppression of virulence factors such as elastase, pyocyanin, and rhamnolipid. Quorum sensing-IN-9 also impairs the motility and biofilm formation of P. aeruginosa, ultimately reducing its virulence and pathogenicity. Additionally, it demonstrates significant anti-infectious activity in the Galleria mellonella larval model.
