Sublancin

Antimicrobial Agent

Sublancin is an antimicrobial peptide that targets bacterial DNA replication, transcription, and translation while preserving membrane integrity. It effectively suppresses glucose uptake by interfering with the phosphotransferase system (PTS). Sublancin demonstrates potent activity against B. subtilis strain 168 ΔSPβ, with a minimum inhibitory concentration (MIC) of 0.312 μM, making it a valuable tool for research in antimicrobial efficacy and peptide function studies.
