TBI-223
Antimicrobial
TBI-223 is an orally active oxazolidinone antibiotic that targets microbial protein synthesis. It demonstrates potent antimicrobial activity against Mycobacterium tuberculosis and inhibits mitochondrial protein synthesis in HepG2 cells with an IC50 of 68 μg/mL. In vivo, TBI-223 is effective in multiple mouse models of methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus infections, including bloodstream, skin, and bone infections. This compound serves as a valuable tool for research in tuberculosis and related infectious diseases.
