Tirofiban hydrochloride

Gp IIb/IIIa Receptor Antagonist

Tirofiban hydrochloride is a selective and reversible antagonist of the Gp IIb/IIIa receptor, effectively inhibiting fibrinogen binding and exhibiting potent antithrombotic properties. In addition to its primary function, Tirofiban hydrochloride promotes endothelial cell proliferation and migration through the upregulation of vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF). This compound also plays a critical role in reducing myocardial no-reflow and ischemia-reperfusion injury by mitigating structural and endothelial dysfunction in ischemic myocardial tissues.
