TXA6101
FtsZ Inhibitor
TXA6101 is an inhibitor of the bacterial protein FtsZ, which plays a critical role in bacterial cell division. It exhibits potent antimicrobial activity against methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA) strains harboring the G193D or G196S mutant FtsZ, with a minimum inhibitory concentration (MIC) of 1 μg/mL. TXA6101 maintains efficacy against the TXA707-resistant FtsZ mutant and presents a promising therapeutic approach for combating Gram-negative bacterial infections in research settings.
