By leveraging the accumulation of methylthioadenosine (MTA) in MTAP-deficient cells, AMG 193 selectively inhibits PRMT5 with an IC₅₀ of 0.107 μM, leading to preferential suppression of tumor cell growth while sparing normal cells with intact MTAP function.
