Cardiometabolic & Bone

Cardiometabolic and bone antibodies target proteins that regulate lipid metabolism, muscle mass and bone remodeling. Evolocumab and alirocumab bind proprotein convertase subtilisin/kexin type 9 (PCSK9) and prevent degradation of the low-density lipoprotein (LDL) receptor. Evinacumab neutralizes angiopoietin-like protein 3 (ANGPTL3), an inhibitor of lipoprotein lipase. Denosumab binds receptor activator of nuclear factor kappa-B ligand (RANKL), and romosozumab binds sclerostin, a Wnt pathway inhibitor in bone. Further antibodies target myostatin and activin receptors, transthyretin, thyrotropin receptor and natriuretic peptide receptor 1.
