Melanotan II is a high affinity melanocortin receptor agonist (Ki values are 0.67, 6.6, 34 and 46 nM for MC1, MC4, MC3 and MC5 receptors respectively).

THIQ is a potent and selective melanocortin 4 (MC4) receptor agonist (IC50 values are 1.2, 761 and 2067 nM for human MC4, MC3 and MC1 receptors respectively).

Setmelanotide (RM-493; BIM-22493; IRC-022493) is a selective melanocortin 4 receptor (MC4R) agonist with EC50s of 0.27 nM and 0.28 nM for human and rat MC4R, respectively.
